Karen Tascon is an award-winning Makeup and Hair artist with more than 20 years of experience in The Professional Makeup and Hair Artist Industry. She has worked on high end Ad-Campaigns, fashion and commercial shoots for Max Factor Cosmetics, Neiman Marcus, Dillard’s, Express Fashion, Sony, EMI Records, and Coca Cola just to name a few.

Born in South America Colombia. She came to the United States when she was 2 years of age. As a little girl you would always find that her consistent passion was painting and drawing. Growing up in school Karen took as many art classes as she could possible take, not knowing that these early classes were pivotal in the making of her future makeup artist career and her artistic perspective in the art of makeup itself. At the age of 16 she took an interest in taking a advanced class in Makeup Artistry, Surprised she quickly realized the similarities of technique between the art lessons she took growing up, and the advanced makeup class she was taking then. Within months she took off by winning a competition in advanced makeup, then became one of the youngest Regional Makeup Artist to represent Chanel, and later joined MAC Cosmetics, where she was certified in all levels of makeup artistry skills. Then, that exciting decisions came, taking that step of faith into the world of the “Professional Freelance Make-up Artist World”.
